The camper coming together inside

Will and his wife Brunella needed a place to stay for a month and have been an invaluable help as my carpentry abilities are limited to putting up very crooked shelves.

Gemma lends a hand as we prepare some wood for the camper.

The benches/beds for the bank in our garage.

The camper truck outside with some of the stuff that we took out of it.

The girls on their way to school..(gemma has a dress up day)... with Scotch.

The empty camper stripped inside.

Simons mum came for a visit in February and enjoyed the pool and being in africa

A stunning sunset over the pool.

Well its been an embarassingly long time since we made a post but I think circumstances have played a part!

I made a trip with some young people to Zambia. We peformed street theatre at different colleges and universities in Lusaka and the northern city of Ndola. It went very well .

The day I came back Natasha went to Durban to be with a friend for the birth of her third baby having attended the first two in England. She came back two weeks later.

Meanwhile I was left to make the final decision about buying a camper vehicle, a Nissan cabstar . We prayed about it and I receievd the quote "Dont look a gift horse in the mouth." So we went ahead and bought it. We want to make it available not only for our family but for other extended trips into Africa and so we took out everything out, repaired some internal flaws and now are in the process of building a six-8 berth camper inside. Like most things this is a bigger job than we first imagined but it is now taking shape and I hope to take it for a test run up to Malawi on May 11th, God willing.

The children have just finished their easter holidays which was generally enjoyed by them all. Shawn is happy to be back to school so he can get stuck into the rugby. Gemma went to a few holiday craft activities at school which she really enjoyed. But she wasn't so keen to get back into her uniform this morning.

Natasha is coming back to England for just about two weeks at the end of April to visit her mum and our son Sam as well as other friends. Here are some of the best pictures from the last few months!
